The deputy of National Action, Carlos Valenzuela, said that the request for popular consultation to prosecute former presidents, by President Andrés Manuel López Obrador, is a distraction from the issues that matter in the country.
Meanwhile, María de los Ángeles Huerta, a deputy for the ruling Morena party, said that in Mexico there is "no opposition that worthily represents the citizens who would like to be represented."
