A one-and-a-half-year-old toddler from Lod arrived today (Sunday) in the afternoon for a pediatric emergency room at Assaf Harofeh Hospital in fair condition, while his consciousness is vague.

After a thorough investigation, it was revealed that he was suffering from marijuana poisoning, and the incident was reported to the police.

This is the second case in the last two days, where toddlers come to the emergency room as a result of marijuana poisoning.

As you may recall, on the night between Friday and Saturday, a one-and-a-half-year-old toddler from Ramla was evacuated to Assaf the doctor.

Her condition was severely defined, she had a convulsion and was unconscious.

After a thorough examination she was hospitalized in intensive care, and her condition was defined as moderate.

According to the police statement, "the girl's parents have been detained for questioning, and the circumstances of the incident are being investigated."

The doctor's collection reported tonight that it was released today without any damage from the poisoning.

Prof. Eran Kotzer, director of pediatric emergency at Assaf Harofeh, said: "Cannabis poisoning in toddlers can cause severe symptoms, including a decrease in state of consciousness to unconsciousness, convulsions, tremors, disturbances in balance, rapid pulse and a drop in blood pressure.

"Dear parents, in the absence of educational frameworks, children stay at home for long hours. It is especially important to keep medicines, detergents and other hazardous substances out of the reach of children. Please take care of yourself and your children."
