US House of Representatives Speaker Nancy Pelosi announced the formation of an independent committee to help define procedures and ways to remove US presidents from their posts, noting that the current US President Donald Trump showed the need for a “process that controls the selection and removal” of US presidents.
Media quoted Pelosi as saying at a press conference that "this legislation is a guarantee of the stability and continuity of the government in the event that the president is not qualified to continue his duties and is not related to President Donald Trump."
Pelosi had confirmed earlier that Trump's policies endangered the Americans, indicating that he had no justification for declaring his success in tackling the Corona virus in the country.
