While Liverpool are worried about the absence of Virgil Van Dyke, tonight's rival in the Champions League, Ajax, come to a meeting with a full and confident staff, after the last league victory, 1: 5 over Hernoin.
Team star Dusan Tadic said: "I have faced Liverpool many times and it is always difficult to play against them. They put constant pressure on you."
Ahead of tonight's game he added: "Liverpool are a great team and it's going to be a great game."
Tadic also recalled the Champions League final that Ajax missed in the 2018/2019 season, after surrendering in the semi-finals to a last-minute goal against Tottenham, which won against Liverpool in the final.
That final, held in Madrid, ended in a Mighty Reds 0-2 win: "We were unlucky," Tadic said, stinging: "But I'm sure if we had reached the final, we would have made it much harder for Liverpool than Tottenham."
