The Spanish club Barcelona announced the renewal of the contracts of the four-team team, Gerard Pique, goalkeeper Marc Ter Stegen, Clement Lenglet and Frenkie de Young.
The Catalan club stated in a statement on its official website that Gerard Pique's contract was renewed until 2024 with a penalty clause of 500 million euros, and veteran German goalkeeper Marc-Andre ter Stegen's contract was renewed until June 30, 2025, with a penalty clause of half a billion euros.
The Spanish club added that the contract of the duo, Lenglet and De Young, has been renewed until 2026, as the penalty clause in the first contract is 300 million euros and increases to 400 million euros with the Dutch player.
The club indicated that these agreements have been reached, which include a temporary salary adjustment due to the current economic conditions resulting from the crisis of the emerging corona virus.
