(ANSA) - BRAZIL, OCTOBER 29 - Brazil has exceeded 158 thousand deaths caused by the coronavirus, with a daily average (calculated over seven days) down by more than 10%, while the average number of infections is increasing.

This was reported by the health secretaries of state governments, who reported 499 deaths on Tuesday and yesterday.

The figure brings the overall budget of the victims to 158,480.

The total number of infections, meanwhile, has reached 5,469,755, including 28,852 new cases reported in the last 24 hours.

The daily average of infections in the last seven days was 24,158, 20% more than the previous average.
