(ANSA) - ROME, OCT 29 - Still a record for coronavirus infections in the last 24 hours in Italy: the positives are 26,831 (yesterday they were 24,991).

The dead are 217 (yesterday they were 205), according to data from the Ministry of Health.

There are 201,452 tampons, also a record, 2,500 more than the previous day.

Another leap in intensive care patients: 115 more in the last 24 hours (yesterday the increase was 125), for a total of 1,651 people in intensive care.

There are now 15,964 patients in ordinary wards, an increase of 983 units.

The current positives reached 299,191, 22,734 more than yesterday.

Of these, 281,576 are people in home isolation.

The healed are 279,282, an increase of 3,878 compared to yesterday.


    In total the cases in Italy are 616,595, the victims 38,122.


   Among the regions with the highest number of new positives found, Lombardy stands out with 7,339, then Campania with 3,103, Piedmont with 2,585, Veneto with 2,109, Lazio with 1,995.
