(ANSA) - BERLIN, 02 NOV - "We must be aware of the fact that we are in a pandemic, and that it is a particular event. It can probably be said that it is an event that occurs once every century". This was stated by Angela Merkel in Berlin, at a press conference, answering questions on the day the semi-lockdown in Germany started.

"We have four long winter months ahead of us" and "the light at the end of the tunnel is quite far away," Merkel said, stressing that "this is like a natural catastrophe". (HANDLE).
