(ANSA) - BERLIN, 05 NOV - Eight of the fifteen people arrested in the investigation into the Islamist attack in Vienna have serious criminal records: 4 of them had previously been tried for terrorism offenses. This was stated at a press conference by the Minister of the Austrian Interior Karl Nehammer.

Two other detainees had been convicted of violent criminals, while a couple of others had received convictions for attempted honor killing in Linz, the minister continued. German Interior Minister Horst Seehofer has meanwhile made it known that the main attacker in Vienna would have ties to Germany. "With the case of Vienna we also have connections that lead to Germany with" dangerous "people, observed 24 hours a day," said the minister.
