The vote count for the United States elections is progressing slowly with its sights set on Georgia, a state where Donald Trump began the counting leading, but this Friday
the advantage
was for Joe Biden by just
917 votes.
Georgia is crucial for Biden to get closer to the White House but he will need yet
another
battle
state
to be able to add 270 voters and win.
Biden's eventual victory in Georgia would give him
16 votes
in the Electoral College, leaving him just
one of the longed-for majority of 270.

It would be quite a milestone for him to win there, since Georgia has not won a Democratic candidate
since 1992
, when Bill Clinton did.
The state is one of those that has been the subject of lawsuits by Donald Trump's campaign team.
The president's options for reelection would be reduced if Georgia loses.
The count in the other hinge states is also slow with differences of just thousands of votes between the two candidates.

to see a final result, if there is one.
In
Nevada
, the Democrat was ahead this Friday with 11,438 votes.
The same in
Arizona
with 47,052.
The president led with 18,229 votes in Pennsylvania, but that gap with the Democrat is narrowing.
