(ANSA) - ROME, NOVEMBER 08 - Fra 'Marco Luzzago was elected Lieutenant of Grand Master of the Sovereign Order of Malta this morning by a large majority. The Council Complete of State, the elected body, met yesterday and today in the Magistral Villa in Rome. The newly elected will take the oath today afternoon in front of the members of the Council Complete of State and the Pope's Special Delegate, the elected cardinal Silvano Maria Tomasi. Fra 'Marco Luzzago succeeds Fra' Giacomo Dalla Torredel Tempio di Sanguinetto, Prince and 80th Grand Master, who died on April 29th. Pope Francis was informed through a letter of the election.
Fra 'Marco Luzzago is a relative of Paul VI. (HANDLE).
