 Purges in the Pentagon after the Twitter torpedoing of Minister Mark Esper, replaced with Christopher Miller, the head of the national counter-terrorism center.

According to CNN, three other senior defense executives were fired or resigned within 24 hours and replaced with controversial figures but loyal to the president.

Among them was General Anthony Tata, who took over from James Anderson.


    In the past he had made Islamophobic statements, promoted conspiracy theories and called Barack Obama a "terrorist leader".
