Nicaragua is just beginning to recover from the effects of Eta, a system that first made landfall in the Central American country as a category four hurricane on Tuesday, November 3.

The imminent arrival of Eta forced the evacuation of more than 71,000 people.

Mario Medrano traveled to Puerto Cabezas, one of the most affected areas, where there are still more than a thousand people living in a school that has been converted into a makeshift shelter.
