Left-wing politicians, such as the mayor of Paris Anne Hidalgo, ecologists, personalities from the world of culture and associations have gathered in France in a petition launched with the aim of boycotting the Amazon online sales platform during the Christmas period.

"Dear Santa, this year we are making a commitment to a #NatalesenzaAmazon", write the petitioners, individuals and associations such as Greenpeace, the confederation of merchants of France and the trade union of booksellers.

The petition paints a gloomy picture of the social, fiscal and environmental consequences of Amazon's development and calls for favoring the use of neighborhood shops or the circular economy for Christmas gifts.

"In a year we will be able to have deserted cities, closed shops and life on the click. Amazon respects the fiscal and legal regulations that all Italian retailers respect".

Thus the secretary of the League, Matteo Salvini at "Ore 14" on Rai 2. "We are not against the future but must be accompanied: today I did a survey on social media and there is 61% who prefer to shop in the store instead that online "added the secretary of the League
