Police detained for questioning tonight (Sunday) a 17-year-old boy, a resident of Issawiya in East Jerusalem.

According to the suspect, he was involved in attacking two Egged inspectors who woke him up during a bus ride because he was not wearing a mask.

According to police, the suspect called his friends using his cell phone.

When inspectors got off the bus in the French Hill area, the suspect and his friends attacked them.

The inspectors were slightly injured and evacuated for medical treatment.

Investigators identified the suspect and he was detained at a police station.

The investigation is ongoing, with the aim of locating more people involved.
