The Russian authorities announced today that they had recorded 26,190 new infections and 559 deaths from the Coronavirus during the past 24 hours.


And the Coronavirus Headquarters in Russia stated that the total number of infections in the country reached 2541199, and the total deaths reached 44,718 people, while 2007792 people recovered.


In a related context, Russia announced today that it has provided the World Health Organization with the data required to adopt its second vaccine against the Coronavirus, which is called "EpiVac Corona."


The head of the Russian Federal Authority for Consumer Rights Protection, Anna Popova, indicated during a scientific conference on combating coronavirus and other infectious diseases that the World Health Organization was delivered yesterday documents for another Russian vaccine and we are awaiting the organization’s decision.


Popova indicated that about a thousand volunteers had received the vaccine developed by the government "Victor" Center for Virology and Biotechnology, based in Novosibirsk, as part of the post-registration clinical tests, confirming that all test participants are in good condition and did not have any negative symptoms.


"EpiVac Corona" has become the second anti-Corona vaccine that Russia registered, after the "Sputnik V" vaccine, which was developed by the Russian Gamalia Center for Microbiology Research, based in Moscow.
