Oscar winner Nicolas Cage, 56, is getting his own series on Netflix, according to media reports.

The six-part documentary series is about the history of swear words and their use in pop culture, as reported by several media.

In each episode of "History of Swear Words", interviews with historians, entertainers and experts on a swear word are planned.

The list includes terms like "fuck", "shit" and "damn".

There is a little foretaste in a trailer in which Cage philosophizes for a minute about the word "pussy" while he paints on a canvas. "It can also be a cat," he says at the end.

Cage won the 1996 Oscar for best leading actor for "Leaving Las Vegas" and was nominated a second time for his leading role in "Adaptation - The Orchid Thief" (2003).

Other hits were "Moonstruck" and thrillers like "The Rock" and "Con Air".

But Cage also starred in dozens of cheap productions that never made it to the cinema.

The Netflix series should be seen from January 5, 2021.
