The Mayor of the Russian capital, Moscow, Sergey Sobyanin, announced that the R Pharm plant that is being established in the city will produce 10 million doses of the (Sputnik V) vaccine per month when it reaches its production capacity.
Sputnik news agency quoted Sobyanin as saying that Moscow will become the largest site for the production of a local vaccine against Corona in the coming weeks, and a modern pharmaceutical factory will be opened, explaining that the capacity of the plant will be sufficient to vaccinate Muscovites and dozens of constituent entities of the Russian Federation.
The Sputnik vaccine in Russia is the first recorded vaccine in the world against the emerging corona virus, and the Russian Direct Investment Fund concerned with its production and distribution has already confirmed that the tests have proven its effectiveness by more than 95 percent.
