A dangerous driving accident occurred in Tuen Mun.
At midnight on Tuesday (15th), when the New Territories North Regional Transport Department patrolled outside the Red Bridge bus station in Tuen Mun, it found a suspicious private car with an expired license. During the interception and inspection, the car suddenly speeded up and turned on the lights escape.
On the way to Tuen Mun Highway, it turned left into Pui To Road. After hitting a taxi carrying passengers, the car continued to drive towards Castle Peak Road; and to the nearby Sun Sau Street, it hit another van .
According to sources, after the suspicious car crashed on Rookie Street, the male driver surnamed Lin (24) attempted to get off the car and escape, but was uniformed by the police officer who was following him on the spot.
Lin was arrested on suspicion of "dangerous driving", "driving without a valid driving license", "driving an unregistered vehicle" and "driving without third party insurance" and was handed over to the New Territories North Regional Traffic Accident Investigation Team for follow-up; A taxi passenger surnamed Zhang (50) suffered neck pain and was sent to Tuen Mun Hospital for treatment.
