The stormy weather that prevailed yesterday (Wednesday) all over the country gave its signals in the infrastructure.

The beit midrash of the late Rebbe of Cleveland, located in downtown Raanana, was flooded by heavy rainfall, causing extensive damage to furniture and the building.

The worshipers who were in the area hurried to extract the Torah scrolls from the ark and the holy books from the coffins.

City officials, led by Mayor Haim Broida, arrived at the scene and called a team of volunteers and city staff to drain the water using special pumps.

The crews worked for long hours to deal with the heavy damage done to the synagogue.

Cleveland Institutions says that although it is a synagogue of Hasidism, it is a building that has united all the variety of kippah wearers in Raanana for more than 45 years. They have now appealed to worshipers in an urgent fundraising campaign to address the heavy damage.
