Japan banned the entry of non-resident foreign arrivals from all over the world into the country until late next month as a precautionary step to tighten restrictions after detecting a new highly contagious strain of the Coronavirus.

And Kyodo News reported that the Japanese government announced that it would stop entry to the country from all parts of the world from December 28 until the end of next January, without further details about the decision.

Yesterday, Japan recorded the first infections with the new strain of the virus, for travelers from Britain.

In the Philippines, Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte extended the ban on flights from Britain for another two weeks, until mid-January, in an attempt to prevent the spread of a new strain of Corona virus.

In turn, the Swedish Health Agency announced that the tests confirmed that a traveler from Britain was infected with the new strain of Corona virus, which was linked to the rapid spread of it there, especially since Sweden imposed restrictions on travel from Britain earlier this month, amid fears of an outbreak of the new strain.

It is reported that many countries closed their borders with Britain after the emergence of the new dynasty there.
