The UK became the first country to license the Oxford / AstraZeneca vaccine. According to health authorities, the vaccine is cheaper and will be easier to administer and distribute as it does not require sub-zero temperatures. The new vaccination strategy, which will be applied with both Oxford / AstraZeneca and the one already approved by Pfizer / BioNTech, is that they hope to be able to reach more people with the first dose before starting the vaccination phase of the second dose, as they claim authorities, only one injection provides 'very effective protection'.
