An incident near Hebron took place today (Friday) during a routine task of confiscating and evacuating an illegal structure conducted by IDF and Border Police forces in the village of a-Tawani in the area of the Judea Spatial Brigade.
Violent disorder broke out at the scene with the participation of about 150 Palestinians, which included throwing stones at the forces.
Clashes between IDF forces and Palestinians near Hebron
IDF fighters responded by dispersing demonstrations and firing into the air. According to reports, one of those present at the incident was seriously injured as a result of the shooting.
The IDF spokesman said that during the disturbance, a violent incident occurred in which violence was used against the force by a number of Palestinians. The incident is being investigated.
