The Marine Ports Directorate announced the closure of the ports of Latakia and Tartous and the oil terminal in Baniyas in the face of maritime navigation due to the prevailing weather conditions, high waves and increased wind speed until further notice.
General Director of Ports, Brigadier General Ammar Makhlouf, stated in a statement to SANA that the directorate has also closed all fishing and picnic ports on the Syrian coast due to the prevailing weather conditions as well.
