The capital is already filled with thousands of national guards seeking to prevent acts of violence. This Sunday, protests by armed protesters were registered in several of the state capitols. The president-elect will deliver a speech to the nation that will appeal to national unity as soon as he is sworn in on Wednesday.
Within days of the inauguration of President-elect Joe Biden, security measures are being tightened in the capital, while authorities continue to report arrests, not only of those who stormed the Capitol on January 6, but of suspects who planned to incite acts of violence next Wednesday.
