The use of ivermectin as a treatment against covid-19 is discouraged by the Pan American Health Organization (PAHO) and has created an international controversy that is amplified by the urgent need to search for drugs to combat the disease. Dr. Marisa Azaret spoke about this with Dr. Carlos Chaccour, scientific director of the Bohemia Project, which studies the effect of ivermectin to combat malaria, and researcher of a pilot study on the use of this medicine to treat covid-19 of the University of Navarra Clinic together with the Barcelona Global Health Institute.
