(ANSA) - NEW YORK, 01 FEB - "Westworld" actress EvanRachel Wood accuses Marilyn Manson: the controversial singer of "Antichrist Superstar" is the partner she referred to when over the years she declared herself a victim of domestic violence.
Wood and Manson (real name Brian Warner) had a relationship that went public in 2007 when she was 19 and he, 38, was divorcing burlesque actress Dita vonTeese.
They announced their marriage in 2010 to part ways shortly thereafter.
"The name is Brian Warner. He started luring me when I was still a teenager and for years he horribly abused me," said the actress in an Instagram post and in a statement to Vanity Fair: "Manson has washed my brain, reducing me to submission. . Now I have finished living in fear of reprisals, slander or blackmail. I am here to expose the danger it represents and to warn the many industries that have facilitated it before it can ruin other lives. "
No comment came from the Manson camp whose past spokesmen denied such allegations.
In a show of solidarity with Wood at least four other women have posted their experiences telling of having suffered from Manson acts of violence, including sexual violence, psychological abuse and other forms of coercion.
