Apart from having a long career in Mexican soccer, Claudio Suárez played in 178 games with the Mexican National Team, including 3 World Cups.
He also won 3 consecutive editions of the Concacaf Gold Cup in 1993, 1996 and 1998 and was captain of "El Tri" when they defeated Brazil and won the Confederations Cup.
