Flattering the nationalist fiber of his people, to whom he promises to return his pride, he brandishes dreams of empire, with the Ottoman rule as a model.

Recep Tayyip Erdogan replaced the saber with the gunboat and drones.

In the Eastern Mediterranean, in the Levant or in the Caucasus, it defies the great powers of the world, not hesitating to take its allies from the rear.

Supposed to be based on a new “pious generation”, its Islamo-nationalism was to drive the final nail into the coffin of Ataturk and his secular and modern Turkey.
