The Jerusalem District Court announced on Monday February 22 that the hearing of witnesses in the trial of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, indicted for corruption, would begin on April 5, following the elections on March 23.

Benjamin Netanyahu, who pleads his innocence, was indicted in November 2019 with corruption, fraud and breach of trust in three cases, a first for an Israeli head of government during his term in office.
