Ecuador is preparing for a second electoral round amid investigations into an alleged fraud in the February 7 elections. The complaint was presented by the candidate of the Pachakutik Movement, Yaku Pérez, and raised by the Attorney General of Ecuador. In a statement, the agency said they are investigating "alleged anomalies in the storage of digitized information." The candidates Andrés Arauz of UNES and Guillermo Lasso of CREO, who will face each other in the ballot, reject the actions of the prosecution and consider them interference. The Electoral Observation Mission of the Organization of American States (OAS) also "views with concern" that other entities of the State assume functions of the National Electoral Council. Kay Guerrero has the details in her Report K.
