The 37-year-old French judge Stephanie Frappart refereed this weekend the soccer match between the Netherlands and Latvia, held in Amsterdam.
Frappart became the first woman to step onto the court as head judge in that instance.
The Frenchwoman has a long history in European football.
In addition to Frappart, the Ukrainian Kateryna Monzul was in charge of the match between Austria and the Faroe Islands played in Vienna, during the FIFA date.
