Two events have just invited us to draw the historical lessons of recent Western foreign military interventions.

The first was, on March 26, 2021, the submission to the President of the Republic of the historic report of the Duclert Commission on France, Rwanda and the Tutsi genocide (1990-1994).

The second was the inauguration, by the mayor of Paris, on Saturday March 27, of an alley of Commandant-Massoud, not far from the Champs-Élysées.

Just twenty years ago, the "Lion of Panchir" came to Paris to alert France and Europe to the dangers of international terrorism and its harboring by the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan.
