Over 800 firefighters from the Fürstenfeldbruck district received their second vaccination on Pentecost weekend - thanks to special campaigns in pop-up vaccination centers.
District - During special vaccination campaigns on the weekend of Pentecost, a total of 806 firefighters received their second vaccination.
The district fire brigade association has set up three pop-up vaccination centers in the fire department stores in Germering, Fürstenfeldbruck and Mammendorf in cooperation with the vaccination center of the Bavarian Red Cross.
“Vaccination is by far the most important pillar in fighting the pandemic! The pragmatic cooperation between the district fire brigades and the Fürstenfeldbruck vaccination center brings us decisive progress ”, emphasized District Administrator Thomas Karmasin, who got an idea of the vaccination campaign on site. District fire chief Hubert Stefan thanked the fire brigades involved and the vaccination center under the direction of Rainer Bertram for supporting the campaign. In this context, Stefan emphasized again that the fire brigades in the district were always ready for action in the past 14 months despite the pandemic. With the vaccinations, the fire brigades would be able to resume their exercise and training activities in small groups over the next few weeks.
The firefighters from the district received the first vaccination against the corona virus in a large vaccination campaign in mid-April.
This was possible because more vaccine doses were available than planned.
