Last year, the Lenggries summer and autumn markets fell victim to the corona pandemic.

Now the community is daring a fresh start.

Lenggries - After the cancellation last year, the summer market is to take place in Lenggries in 2021 - if the Corona requirements allow.

The municipal council passed this resolution unanimously.

The market is planned on Sunday, July 4th.

Coupling with a Sunday shopping

"13 inquiries from stand operators" have already been received, said the managing official Tobias Riesch in the most recent meeting.

The market is to be combined with a shopping Sunday.

Local councilor and responsible officer Elisabeth Ertl had felt with shop owners and the advertising community whether they were interested in an open Sunday.

"Some of them would be there," she said.

By the next meeting of the municipal council on June 21, a statute is to be drawn up for this.

New concept for the markets

Originally, the municipal council decided in 2020 that the economic advisory council should think about a new concept for the annual markets.

Riesch: "Due to the corona, no meeting has yet taken place."
