Roger Federer painfully snatched his ticket to the round of 16 at Roland Garros by finally winning in four sets (7-6, 6-7, 7-6, 7-5) against Dominik Koepfer in the night on the Philippe-Chatrier court.
The Swiss will face Matteo Berrettini for a place in the quarter-finals.
He will have to raise his level of play and especially recover after this fight of nearly 3:40 against the brave German.
