Italian security sources revealed today that in one year more than a thousand financing operations suspected of being linked to terrorism were reported.
The Italian Aki Agency stated that the operational budget for the year 2020, issued by the Malian police forces, revealed the presence of 137,212 reports of suspicious transactions during the past year, of which 76,275 were subject to further investigations, and it was found that 1162 operations were related to terrorist financing.
Italy, like other European countries, is witnessing a state of security alert for fear of the resurgence of terrorism, which some of those countries have supported and overlooked its crimes, especially after terrorist attacks took place in several European cities.
