Saad al-Hariri, prime minister appointed to try to form a new government in Lebanon, resigned after spending 9 months in office.
The official failed to convince President Michel Aoun to accept the list of 24 ministers he was presenting.
Aoun said Thursday that al-Hariri was not willing to discuss any change in the proposal he presented the day before and had already made the decision to resign.
