A White House official reported that 1,800 people were evacuated from Afghanistan in the last 24 hours.
He also indicated that since Saturday they have managed to remove 6,000 people.
The latest figure is higher than that of this Tuesday, when they managed to remove just over 1,000 people: 330 US citizens and permanent residents, and another 770 family members.
