59 teams from robotic clubs in various governorates will participate in the National Championship for the World Robot Olympiad for 2021, which will be launched tomorrow by the Syrian Scientific Olympiad Administration in the Excellence and Creativity Authority at the Ebla Hotel and Conference Palace in Damascus under the title (The Future of Energy).
The authority said in a statement, which SANA received a copy of today, that the championship, whose pilot tests were launched today, will continue until the second of next September and include three competitions.. The regular competition in which 43 teams were registered, divided into three age groups, the primary category for ages 10 to 13 years old. 13 teams, the middle category for ages from 13 to 16 years, 18 teams registered, and the upper category for ages 16 to 19 years, 11 teams registered. The second competition, which is open, recorded 9 teams, while 8 teams were registered in the third competition (Future Engineers).
This tournament is considered eligible to participate in the finals of the World Robot Olympiad, which will be held (remotely) next November. The three competitions aim to expand the field of energy use by heading towards renewable energy sources (wind, solar and water energy).
