In Aristegui, Sergio Ramírez tells us about his book and about the political crisis in Nicaragua, where Daniel Ortega seeks to be president for the fifth time, with dozens of politicians, activists and businessmen arrested and exiled.

The Nicaraguan writer says that “the list of candidates to run for the presidency against President Daniel Ortega is a macabre joke”.

Ramírez, also a 2017 Cervantes award winner, presented his book “Tongolele didn't know how to dance”, which is part of a trilogy in which fiction does not escape the social and political reality of Nicaragua in recent years.
