Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte will not cooperate with the International Criminal Court (ICC) in its investigation into the drug war waged by his government, his lawyer announced Thursday (September 16th).

The president's main legal adviser, Salvador Panelo said on DZBB radio that this court has not been recognized by his country since the Philippines withdrew in 2019 from the Rome Statute, the founding text of the ICC.
