STORY - Five years after the triumph of the “Chtchoukine Collection” at the Louis Vuitton Foundation, here is the second chapter devoted to icons of modern art and their Russian patrons. The covid complicated its implementation.

Big day, on Tuesday September 21, which sees the official inauguration of “The Morozov Collection, icons of modern art” at the Louis Vuitton Foundation, five years after the triumph of “The Shchoukine Collection” (record of 1, 3 million visitors).

The President of the Republic, Emmanuel Macron, accompanied by his wife, will inaugurate at 6.30 p.m. this second chapter, all in masterpieces, dedicated to the great Russian patrons who were the pioneers of Western art, before being swept away by the Russian revolution.

“Organized in partnership with the State Hermitage Museum (Saint Petersburg), the Pushkin State Museum of Fine Arts (Moscow) and the State Tretyakov Gallery (Moscow), this event exhibition is part of the Dialogue de Trianon, a Franco-Russian initiative launched in 2017 which aims to strengthen ties between Russian and French civil societies, by developing new cooperation, particularly in the cultural field, between the two countries ”
