Covid-19: why vaccinodromes are gradually closing

Several vaccination centers are closing across France. In question: the increase in vaccination coverage.

For several weeks, many vaccinodromes have been closing their doors.

Despite the government's doubts, these ephemeral vaccination mega-centers had finally been set up from April 2021 to accelerate the vaccination campaign.

Now, more than fifty million French people have received their first dose, or nearly 75% of the population.

The Regional Health Agencies (ARS) must decide on the strategy for changing the network of centers and adjust the supply according to demand

Several ARS have decided to close these large structures to transfer their staff to small structures which correspond to the vaccine demand.

And for good reason: “

There is less administration of the first dose, the vaccinodromes are therefore less useful and expensive because they were designed to accommodate millions of people.

If at the beginning we tried to do without, the vaccinodromes remain the best organization
