A pedestrian who wanted to cross a street in Beckum (Warendorf) was hit by a car and seriously injured. The car was traveling from Ennigerloh on the B475 when the collision occurred on Thursday evening, the police said. The 68-year-old was taken to hospital by helicopter. The federal road B475 at the point where it joins the B58 was closed for several hours.
