Ecomondo closes, the green economy looks to Pnrr and Cop26

Ecomondo and Key Energy, the two exhibitions dedicated to the circular economy and renewable energy, closed at the Rimini Fair on Friday.

Almost 85% of attendance compared to the last pre-covid edition, more than 1,080 brands present throughout the district for 90% of the area, 500 hours of conferences and seminars, with the ten-year anniversary of the General States of the Green Economy.

Companies, institutions, bodies and organizations at the Rimini Fair discussed the opportunities offered by the PNRR, on the eve of a fundamental event such as the COP26 in Glasgow.



Circular bioeconomy, water resources, waste treatment and digitalization processes that bring the green economy into the perimeter of industry 4.0 are among the most interesting supply chain innovations of this 2021 edition. Bioenergy and photovoltaics and the entire smart lighting sector in cities linked to efficiency and safety.



In the inaugural session of Key Energy, a study prepared for this event by the Energy Strategy Group of the Politecnico di Milano explored the opportunities related to PNRR, in particular in terms of economic and employment repercussions: we are talking about more than 64 billion euros of additional revenues, in addition to 132 thousand more jobs.



In the conferences organized by the Scientific Committee chaired by Gianni Silvestrini, there was also talk of the upcoming innovations, from off-shore wind to agro-photovoltaic, from energy communities to hydrogen, climate strategies, as well as the first interesting results on fronts of the Superbonus and electric mobility.
