Bayreuth - On Friday (October 29th) an aerial bomb was defused in Bayreuth.

For this, residents in the St. Georgen district had to leave their apartments.

So far unknown people have brazenly exploited this situation.

The police announced on Sunday (October 31) that they entered two apartments through tilted balcony doors.

They are said to have rummaged through drawers and stolen valuables.

During bomb disposal in Bayreuth: Strangers steal jewelry from apartments

Despite the high police presence, the thieves managed to climb onto the balcony of two apartments.

From there, they reached through the tilted balcony doors and got into the apartments, according to the police report.

The burglars searched drawers and stole jewelry worth several hundred euros each.

"In one case, they also left property damage estimated at 100 euros on the door," said the police.

The Bayreuth * criminal police took over the investigation and assumes that both apartments are the same perpetrators.

Witnesses are asked to report to the officials on (0921) 50 60.
