In a community of Campeche, in southeastern Mexico, one of the traditions of the Day of the Dead is to exhume the bones of loved ones to clean them, wrap them in clean tablecloths and place them in wooden boxes to remember and honor them.
The villagers believe that the ritual is a festival in which respect and love are shown to the ancestors.
