(ANSA) - ROME, NOVEMBER 04 - Two humanitarian ships carrying over 1,000 rescued migrants on board are located south of Lampedusa.

Sos Mediterranee's OceanViking has saved 245 people off the coast of Libya in recent days.

Another 800 are on SeaEye's Sea Eye 4 which - together with Mission Lifeline's Rise Above - assisted a series of boats in distress: the last one, last night, in Maltese waters with 400 on board.
