Artillery sub-units at all levels of the DPRK and under the supervision of mechanized units have conducted a shooting competition as part of measures to enhance the country's defense capabilities.
The competition aims to examine and evaluate the method and effectiveness of the army's mechanized forces during the implementation of exercises that will increase the combat capabilities of mobile artillery in line with the military policy established by the Central Military Commission of the Korean Workers' Party and intensify competitive training at all levels of the Korean People's Army, the DPRK said. .
The agency added that during the competition, firing positions and sequences were determined through the lottery, and then orders were issued regarding the tactical and firing missions of the supportive mechanized units entering the decisive battle with the power of artillery fire to the commanders of the joint units so that they could make their decisions and personally order the firing of the artillery sub-units. to destroy the targets set.
The artillery sub-unit of Unit 604 of the KPA won the competition after taking first place.
